Sometimes, I just can't believe how perfect she is. I know you were thinking that same exact thing. Today marks our one-year anniversary together. I haven't been able to wear black in the same way since. She totally makes up for it by cuddling me at night.
The Matt & Kim show on Tuesday night was so much fun. I have never seen them live and wasn't sure what to expect. It was the most fun I've had at a show in I don't know how long. And I was working... and not drinking... Weird. Anyway, balloons.
Wednesday - I worked for The Toadies and Helmet. I didn't end up having to work through the show, so I cut out early and was treated to a delicious sushi dinner by Drew. If you've never tried Blue's squid salad, you must. I wish I had a neverending supply of it. Even discussed the possibility of raising squid in my basement with Drew. Too much work.
Since he bought dinner, I said I'd buy dessert. So we headed to Ted & Wally's and shared a bowl of vanilla ice cream with M&Ms and Butterfinger mixed in. I'm such a fat. We ended up playing Yahtzee on my phone in public. We should reconsider ever leaving the house. We're embarrassed by us.
Kylie was out celebrating her birthday with her family and Larry - so we met them downtown at Myth for a cocktail. I... uh... am not a cocktail kind of girl. One white-chocolate concoction and I couldn't feel my legs. I'll stick to my cheap beer, thanks.
In other news - that job I interviewed for last week that I was hoping to hear back about... Welp, second interview is in the morning! I received word from three of my references today saying that they had called to ask about me. Luckily, I have great references. I hope...
Keep your fingers crossed for me. I need this job or else I'm going to have to start doing unspeakable things for money.
