First full week of the new full-time jarb is in the books. I'm really, really enjoying it. Next step, learn how to become a functioning adult and avoid slipping into a sweatpants coma by 6:00 every night.
I got my hairs cut and colored on Wednesday. Back to the fringe. I just couldn't handle the amount of time it was taking me to grow out my bangs. The constant struggle of being me, I tell ya.
This weekend was exactly what I needed. Friday night - date night. Drew and I went to the new sushi restaurant in Aksarben Village - Ponzu. It was pretty good. Their squid salad was almost as good as Blue's. Almost.
After we ate, we headed to Maddie's to play Cards Against Humanity. If you haven't played this game yet - get with the program. Oh, yeah, LEE MOVED BACK. So it was me, Drew, Maddie, Corrie, Lee, Megan, and Eric. The laughs were endless and I enjoyed knocking back a couple of Schlitz tall boys to wind down after the long week.
Saturday - I wanted to treat myself a bit since I had just received my first big-girl paycheck in what seems like forever, so Drew and I went shopping. That's right. I used to laugh at the girls who would drag their boyfriends along while they shopped. "Hold my purse, babe." "Babe, does this make me look fat?" "Sugar daddy, you buying?" I will still continue to laugh at girls who drag their boyfriends along on shopping trips because I will never again be that girl. Ever. Lesson learned.
Today has been spent cleaning and doing laundry and catching up on all of the things I let slip behind during the work week. I need to finish the dresser I started painting last week for Otte's bedroom makeover. Photos to come.
-k.
Love this layout. That is all.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Trent! It took me a while to get it exactly how I wanted it.. but I like how it turned out. :)
